Manitoulin @ Hutchinson’s Cabins

FROM TORONTO, ‘DRIVING AROUND’: Take the 400 past Barrie, use the right exit to stay on the 400 (to Sudbury).  After about 3 hours you will be on the outskirts of Sudbury.  Take the Hwy 17 West exit (to Sault. Ste. Marie).  After 45 minutes you will be on the outskirts of Espanola.  At the lights, turn left onto Hwy. 6 (to Espanola).  After about 45 minutes, you will be crossing the swing bridge into Little Current, on Manitoulin Island.  At the top of the hill, at the Shell gas station, turn left (to Manitowaning, to stay on Hwy 6).  After about 45 minutes, turn right onto Hwy 542 (to Mindemoya, Tehkummah, Sandfield).  After three minutes you will see our ’Ontario’ sign.  At the bottom of the hill you will see our big sign on the Manitou River.  You have arrived!  If you drive into the lake you will have gone too far!
